Dimension & Scope:

Provide advanced technical expertise in support of Local Area Network Systems managementuser supportsoftware/hardware installationproblem resolution and monitoring and management of desktopsPBXperipheral devices and server resources.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day desktop/LAN administration, user support, PBX and Server administration, and maintenance.Support Desktop/LAN services involving multiple Operating Systems (OS) and LAN-based GroupWare packages or E-mail system. Provide advanced technical support and configuration for MAX, CCR, voicemail, Audix, CCMX, hardware and software as well as OS, GroupWare, and E-mail software executing on the LAN and workstations. Support installation of development and test software for business units.Advanced server system administration to include design, configuration, security, and domain & policy design.Serve as a key team member using existing technical knowledge and skills to perform specific LAN-based projects independently.Support specific LAN-based tools that may deal with systems monitoring features, automated inventory tools, remote control configurations, remote access, and other systems tools.Lead field trials for new software and hardware applications.Provide advanced system administration for servers and PBX to include design, configuration, domain and policy designs, programming of PBX and adjuncts.Independently, and successfully, install PBX equipment, T1 terminations, etc. and solve more advanced voice related problems.Oversee support and maintenance of facility wiring infrastructure.Analyze symptoms for accurate isolation of customer and network problems.Identify and resolve customer access issues.Implement corporate TCP/IP network addressing, network security, and corporate design strategies.In cooperation with Data Network group, troubleshoot and resolve advanced data network problems.Initiate and lead team efforts to provide end user training, one-on-ones or in small groups, for purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of online projects.Lead team efforts to establish, document, and implement desktop/server software installation standards for company software applications.Lead initiatives to ensure site and computer/telecom room are well documented and mapped.Responsible for implementing site disaster recovery processes (integrity of daily backups) and manages, supports, and coordinates local site business continuity activities.Lead team projects, establish priorities, assign and complete tasks within given time frames, and provide status reports to upper management.Provide leadership to other Technicians in managing events in a control center environment; act as mentor to B2 Senior Associate and below.Provide on-call technical support via pager as required.Work escalated and advanced Vantive trouble tickets and service requests as assigned by manager.Determine priority of action based on severity of service disruptions and respond appropriately. Coordinate day to day workloads of technicians, possibly at multiple sites, to ensure that work is done correctly and meets SLA’s.Manage Network Services projects.Provide new site installation support.Help support the technical needs of multiple sites in the organization.

Education & Professional Certifications:

Movement into TCPBachelor’s Degree in related technical disciplineAndFour years relevant experience Or Master’s Degree in related technical discipline AndMinimum two years relevant experienceOr Minimum eight years relevant experience without college degree.Movement within TCPMinimum two years experience in B2 Level TCP position.Technical Certification of Cisco and/or Windows Operating System (MCSE) is desired.
