Specialist, Business Implemen – Jacksonville

Dimension & Scope:

This position requires understanding our customer’s business needs and our technology solutions (Business Intelligence Tools and OLAP Reports,Data Warehouses, cat,Tool and Portal) to the level necessary to completely, accurately and consistently capture business requirements and technology functional requirements. It also requires ability to manage the requirements lifecycle from idea tracking through validation for delivery of services & technology to our customers. Must be able to map business requirements to project scope and to the client’s business objectives, and translate a customer or end-user requirement into a business requirement and a business requirement into a technical functional requirement.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

-Conduct requirements gathering meetings to elicit and capture business requirements for Consulting Platform (data warehouse design, MicroStrategy metadata and reports, foreign data collection and integration, catTool and Portal) from the project business stakeholders.
-Conduct requirements definition meetings with technical implementation team to translate business requirements into technical functional requirements for the Consulting Platform.
-Will apply expertise in requirements management lifecycle (Rational Unified Process (RUP) or other industry standard) to enhance our current methodology
-Will be responsible for requirements lifecycle and documentation for book of Professional Services client and internal projects.
-Manage Professional Services business requirement discovery and definition for Consulting Platform Product Releases from CMG IT.
-Responsible for practice development and reusable intellectual property in functional area.
-This position may also include some project management responsibilities.

Education & Professional Certifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university with six to eight years related experience; or, Equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Two to three years experience managing Requirements Lifecycle for: Business Intelligence Tools (MicorStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, or other) and OLAP reporting tools and custom reportsData warehouses, data interfaces and data integration, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications and tools, Business process & workflow specific to customer service contact center operations training,Information Technology infrastructure
-Business System Analyst Certification is a plus.

Candidate Profile:

-Accomplished Business Systems Analyst with strong technical background and business acumen who excels in understanding client’s business needs and translating them into functional requirements.
-Proven knowledge of, and practice with, Requirements Lifecycle Management (RUP or other).
-Will require effective communication and organization skills when working with project stakeholders including our customer’s managers and executives, Convergys executives, project managers, analysts, designers, engineers and customer service agents.
-Must be a self-motivator and can prioritize and manage workload. Possess ability to identify business issues, develop a resolution plan, and follow through on executing plan.Requires functional knowledge of technology solutions: Business Intelligence Tools, OLAP Data Warehouses, Data Integration, Web technologies, CRM applications.
-Requires expert use of MS Office Suite including Project and Visio as well as use of source/document management software are required.
-Project management and / or software design experience is also a plus.
-Must have proficiency with various software applications including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
